One of my favourite authors Michael Pollan has recently released another book on the topic of “Cooking”. Here he describes how perhaps the problems we are facing in our society today when it comes to lifestyle related diseases is not just about what types of food that we put in our bodies but also how we eat and what kind of relationship we have with the actual preparing of the food. A healthy living might in other words be connected to cultural traditions that we have forgotten and slowly and unknowingly moved away from. Interesting reading indeed! I can also highly recommend two of his other books: “The Omnivore’s dilemma” and “In defence of food”.
